There are many facets and stories behind our newest scent, Tanoh Dawn, that I want to share with you. But first, I want to pass on what we heard from our “Keaper Lab”.
These early testers had no information about the scent: no name, no ingredients, no hints. Just an unmarked tealight.
While some of the specifics obviously don’t reflect Tanoh Dawn’s exact ingredient list, when you read these comments together I find they paint an accurate picture of its olfactive profile.
I invite you on a journey through this fragrance, in the words of our gracious early testers!

It starts with two different cedarwoods forming a warm base:
Frankincense subtly adds further grounding, a sense of holiness:
The fragrance's hero ingredient, Patchouli Gayo, layers on more warmth along with a unique camphoraceous and refreshing aspect, reminiscent of eucalyptus:
Cardamom integrates beautifully with this patchouli oil, providing a gentle spice note:
The final ingredient is “Darkoa” a co-extraction of Gayo Patchouli and cocoa. My brain exploded all over the floor when I smelled this for the first time, and once again when Ugo (our perfumer) explained how it is made. I will share more about it if you are interested!
Darkoa was the finishing touch we needed to harmoniously meld the contrasting warmth and invigorating brightness. The result is something I personally find magical.
Thank you to our Keaper Lab participants. I love these quotes—and that last one especially. :)
Overall the early response to Tanoh Dawn was the most enthusiastic I’ve ever seen.
It is currently available to Keap subscribers: To receive it make sure you are set to the “Seasonal Scents” option and have a delivery scheduled for October. (You can also try a sample first.)
For Keapers receiving Tanoh Dawn in the coming days, I’d love to hear your honest thoughts!
