The 2026 Keaper Guide to Local Independent Shops

Thoughtful gift store recommendations from the Keapersphere

I’m excited to share with you the 2026 Keaper Gift Shop Guide!

In our last Keaper survey, we heard a clamor for more recommendations of like-minded independent businesses.

The way the internet has evolved, it has become more and more difficult to discover local independent small businesses. Yet, these establishments are the beating hearts of neighborhoods and towns across our nation. They are a source of resilience, and usually the first to come to a community's aid when it suffers a disaster.

We love when you buy our candles from our website or from one of our wonderful stockists. However, today’s guide is about supporting local economies by featuring over a hundred community-oriented businesses unaffiliated with Keap, but recommended by the Keap community.

I hope you’ll check out the interactive map to see mentions in your community and bookmark some places for your future travels.

Let me know if you find this useful, and have a great rest of your week!

With gratitude,
— Harry from Keap, Steward-Owner

We left social media in 2021 because we found its current mechanics didn’t align with our purpose to facilitate connection to the natural world, our loved ones, and our own spirits. Since then, our newsletter has become a vibrant place for healthy conversation around topics ranging from alternative business ownership models to happy hour cocktail recipes.
