To give you a feel for this fragrance, let me first hand it over to our resident poet, Matt Kosinski:
Evaluations from our Keaper Lab—a select group of kind Keapers who tested an unmarked sample of the scent earlier this year—shed some light on its olfactive profile:
For me and for several Keaper Lab testers, the candle’s cold throw expresses primarily its bright, camphoraceous, and almost medicinal top notes.
When burning these notes recede into the scent to form one part of a canvas that is much darker, subtler, woodsier. As some of the comments alluded to, the scent becomes healing, comforting, reflective. I hope it becomes your new favorite!

Subscribers signed up for a Seasonal Scent shipment this month will be the first to receive Light in the Leaves. You can also try a sample size of it through our Scent-to-home sampler.
If you’re amongst the folks who have already had a chance to burn it, I’d love to hear what you think.
