“Making the house match my sexy"

How Keapers use their candles

After some exciting announcements (A new scent! A new video!), it’s time to return with more insights from our 2026 Keaper Survey.

Let’s Talk About Rituals

Keapers' responses about candle rituals are my favorite part of this survey, as they really drive home why we love candles.

Word cloud of Keaper Survey responses about the activities and rituals people associate with their Keap candles

"What activity, practice, ritual, or event do you most associate with your Keap candles?" (word cloud)

There is a lovely breadth of candle-related rituals across our community, with a few common themes including:

  • Winding down in the evening
  • Relaxing, creating a calm atmosphere
  • Separating work time from home time (mostly to mark the end of the work day, but for some it's to mark the start of focused work time)
  • Cooking (or for covering some undesirable smells from cooking!)
  • Yoga, meditation, or taking a bath
  • Reading… and writing
  • Cleaning the house, or for right after cleaning the house
  • Drinking tea or wine
  • … and more

Here are a few entries that made me smile!

“Baths, or working on something that annoys me so I need a little treat during.”

“Evening (relaxing). And while I do like a summer candle, the cold months call for them in a way that’s like… ancestral, lol. It’s bone deep. We just know that this is the thing to do.”

“Pulling myself out of a stressful day OR preparing for my partner to come over and making the house match my sexy. Ha!”

“I'm so sorry, but the answer is pooping.”

Have a great week,
