My favorite dish growing up in Rome was insalata caprese. A tomato, a moon-shaped sphere of mozzarella di bufala, olive oil, sea salt, and fresh basil. No cooking involved. Just delicately place it all on a plate, and watch it disappear!
I've had a caprese salad plenty of times outside of Italy, but it doesn't compare. Because it's not any tomato, any mozzarella, any olive oil, etc. The exceptional quality of ingredients allows you to create something special without process or artifice. You just let that tomato shine.

Though using few, but very high quality ingredients is a big part of what makes our new collection so special, unlike insalata caprese, it wasn't as simple as plopping them into a glass with some wax and a wick.
Most natural ingredients don't "throw" their scent well in a candle, can cause tunneling during burning, or create fire safety concerns. Solving these issues usually requires synthetic ingredients—which is why you rarely see truly all-natural luxury candles.
