Tumbler ReUse: Do You Dalgona?

We put together a quick and easy guide with steps you can follow to re-use any candle glass, and now we're sharing some fun things to do with your new collection of tumblers.

I love using my Keap tumblers to make my favorite whipped coffee drink at home, because the glasses are easy to clean, and you can see the beautiful layers of the coffee once it’s made.

Various countries have their version of a whipped coffee, but the Dalgona Coffee is named after the Korean candy — a variant of honeycomb toffee —traditionally made by street vendors, which has a creamy, light caramel appearance, similar to a whipped coffee.

You can find many recipes online to make Dalgona Coffee at home, but it’s basically a 1:1:1 ratio of instant coffee, sugar, and hot water, whisked together until you get the desired whipped consistency. Pour over iced or hot milk and enjoy!

I enjoy @LiaBartha's recipe, which omits the sugar in the whip and adds a splash of raw coconut water to the milk instead for a little sweetness. The whip may not be as creamy as its sugar-laden version, but you still get a nice froth!

The standard way is to whip the coffee by hand, but check out our stories to see how I make my life easier (and get to drink my coffee quicker!)

Thanks for reading! Stay well and #KeapTheFireBurning.

Warmly,

—Jess from Keap
